Earlier this year at Shot Show, HK’s booth had some great items. I was really impressed with this HK MG5, though this bright yellow color hurts my eyes. I had never held one of these before and found everything to be well thought out. They went out of their way to make the manual controls (charging handle, top cover, safety) to be just like the MG3 / MG42 so it should require minimal training to upgrade to the MG5 if you’re familiar with earlier German MGs. The folding stock also makes it quite compact and looks very comfortable and solid.
