From Partner 2025 in Belgrade, Serbia–Some additional pictures of Zastava’s new PKM that is chambered in 338 Norma Mag. This appears to be Zastava’s answer to the SIG MG338, which is SIG’s medium machinegun chambered in 338 Norma Mag.
This is so new it doesn’t appear to have a name yet. It was just labelled “Митраљез” which means “Machinegun” in Serbian. Also, the serial number on this one is 0001. The 338 Norma Mag has significantly better performance vs. the venerable but aging 7.62x54R as well as the 7.62NATO.
I didn’t get a chance to examine the internals to see what kind of engineering was required to switch from 7.62x54R to 338 Norma Mag.
