Walking into a Swiss gun store as a US citizen is like being in a fever dream where only rational gun laws exist and it’s Christmas Morning x 1000. The Swiss have access to waaaay more stuff than we do in the States. There are no ridiculous import restrictions based on the scary features or on any particular countries— it’s just wide open so they have a lot of great guns available. They also have access to full-autos with the right license, so the range of options is well beyond anything we are used to back in the US.

I paid a visit to Aebi Waffen, which is an extraordinary company with a world-class selection of firearms. Their team is friendly and knowledgeable and they have exceptionally skilled gunsmiths on staff.

Here is an Ultimax 100 Mark III that they had in stock. I had never actually held one of these until I went to Aebi Waffen. It was heavier than I anticipated but there are so many cool things about this weapon that it was hard not to be impressed. Obviously there are almost no Ultimax rifles in the US.

I wish I was able to take it to the range so I could experience the low recoil that everyone talks about. Maybe someday. A single tear rolled down my cheek when I exited the store.

Below is their website if you are interested in learning more about this incredible company.
