Last year SNT Motiv, the Korean conglomerate that absorbed Daewoo decades ago, was at SHOT show and made waves by stating that they were standing up a manufacturing facility in Nevada to manufacture the Daewoo K2 in the US with a release date sometime in 2025. This year SNT Motiv is back and according to their staff they are planning to start selling the US-made K2 this summer. They had a US-made K2 at the booth.
What was really interesting was at the booth they had both South Korean full-auto K2s and Semi-auto K2s that had US-manufacturing marks and super-low serial numbers (the one I examined was US000007), so you could check out the differences. The US-manufactured K2s definitely had a smoother action, surprisingly smooth actually, versus the Korean-manufactured full-auto K2s.
The US-manufactured K2 was marked “SNT Defense LLC Las Vegas, NV”
