In September we were in Belgrade for the Partner 2025 arms expo. Zastava of Serbia had a large booth with a lot of really interesting rifles. They showcased their modular weapons platform which allows for tool-free barrel changes on an AK-pattern rifle.
If you look closely below the two rivets on the front trunnion you’ll see part the mechanism that allows for the barrel change.
Note the full-length top rail, I don’t know much about it but I’m assuming it’s a more stable platform for optics than other attempts at introducing a rail onto the AK.
